Privacy & Cookies

Stories are saved on your own device. To keep stories safe and kind, MayaLili keeps a private copy of the story words, which only the site owner can read. Drawings and pictures are not kept with that copy.

Daily story limit

To protect the service, each internet connection can make up to 10 stories a day. We count this using a scrambled (hashed) version of your internet address, kept by date only.

Facebook (Meta) ad measurement

We use the Meta Pixel from Meta Platforms to measure which of our ads lead families to visit and make a story, and to show our ads to similar families. Meta receives page visits, a "story made" event with the chosen language, and technical data such as your browser, internet address and Meta cookies. Story words, names and drawings are never sent to Meta.

In the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland, this only happens if you say yes on our banner. We store your choice, the date and the notice version on your device. Elsewhere it is on by default, and you can turn it off below at any time.
